It's been awhile since I posted here..

It has been a long time, but I felt the need to speak out. :]

Word on the street, is ..
Ground!d is closing down and dropping the shop.

Not entirely true.
Yeah, we are closing the Signal Hill shop..but only to relocate to a better shop.
Possibly something thats not in the most random place.
So in other words....
GROUND!D IS MOVING!
CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR AN ADEQUATE LOCATION.

The owner [Moria] is shopping around, trying to find a good location.
He told me that we will be back up in a couple months.
To make it all more possible and so there won't be any delays.....

PLEASE SUPPORT BY BUYING CLOTHING FROM THE SHOP
...that evidently isnt open at the moment.

TO BUY SOMETHING, just contact Moria by Messaging the Ground!d myspace.

Well, I continue to update you guys on the situation.
-Jon

Reminding you to....

STAY GROUND!D.

The agony of defeat...

...is a sour grape. A purple grape.

The Lakers do not deserve to win a championship after blowing a 24-point lead in game 4. Period.

Blame it on the Europeans: Turiaf, GaSOFT, Vujacic, Vlad Rad, and Slava, even if he's no longer on the squad. And, who the hell gave Sasha the nickname "The Machine?" Any man who wears a rubber band on his head during a basketball game should be shipped to the WNBA for two packs of ketchup and three sports bra.

Kevin GarNOT can savor the victory while it last, and Ray "Coattail" Allen should thank the graces for LA's own, Paul Pierce. He is "The Truth."

KG is as clutch as a 87 Supra with a broken transmission. Dude missed two crucial free throws and countless tip-ins in game 5. He should have stayed in Minnesota and gone fishing with Marco Jaric a long time ago.

Mitch Kupchak needs to pull another Cooperfield and find a way to get into the NBA Lottery and draft Russell Westbrook out of UCLA. The guy is a ball-hawking point guard reminiscent of a young Glove, Gary Payton. He has the size and strength that The Zen Master loves so much in his guards, à la Ron Harper.

The core of the team remains solid with Fish, Kobe, Odom, Gasol and the return of Bynum. Farmar gets a pass from criticism because he was a former Bruin. But, Luke "I am your father" Walton needs to step up and play like pops. Ariza should bring great energy and athleticism off the bench after a full recovery from a broken leg. Ronny will be Ronny. But after that, the GM should get rid of the rest and find replacements who won't play frightened down the stretch when it matters.

Some say the Lakers ride and die with Kobe. I say the Lakers go as the system goes. The boys in Purple and Gold play best within the triangle -- when everyone touches the ball -- as a team.

Stay optimistic. Stay Groundid.

Gary Gary

He's here.

One Lucky Fish

D. Fish got away with a foul as Lakers win game 4.

I'd rather be lucky than good.

As history have it, Fish has been a charm against the Spurs. First the miracle shot with 0.4 seconds and now the fortunate no call.

Lakers by 30

Lakers' game 2 against the Spurs was a little less contested -- make that a lot -- a win by 30.

The boys from San An look deflated and unmotivated. Shoot, I would look like that too if I were on a team against "The Mamba" aka Kobe.

Do I smell a sweep?

Two words, GIVE UP.

Final Gary update

Gary Gummy Bear tees are being pushed back one week so we can ensure the best possible quality. We apologize for the confusion. They should be in the shop by next Wednesday. Cross your fingers.

Do call it a comeback

So the Lakers' Wednesday 20-point comeback against the Spurs nearly caused me to have a heart attack. Every dribble, pass, rebound, block, steal and shot was scrutinized and magnified. I tell you, it's not healthy to be a Laker fan these days. I'm just glad I don't have high-blood pressure.

I would rather see a blowout than a highly-contested series.

For some reason, the Spurs just won't go down easily.

Next post will be about the NBA's dirtiest player... Bruce Bowen.

M-V-P

For the past couple of years, Kobe has looked up towards the M-V-P trophy only to be be edged out by the likes of Duncan, Nash and Nowitzki. Reports from the LA Times have surfaced, which place Kobe as the winner this year.

Might we say it's about time and very welled earned. Kobe is not selfish. He is the ultimate competitor.
